Boston area noise rockers DYR FASER may have just come into their own with their latest and arguably their most accomplished release. It’s a 12-track LP called DYR FASER Impressions and their signature psych and post-punk concoctions are intact but this time around they’ve sharpened, if you will, almost every aspect of their vibe, vocals, arrangements, and production.
I imagine some form of the Minority Report screens where Eric Boomhower and Amelia May are pulling and arranging inspirations from the likes of Hüsker Dü, Jefferson Airplane, The 13th Floor Elevators, Pixies, The Doors, and many more to create their burgeoning nonconformist yet palpable rocknroll.
If college and alt-rock radio were still as potent as it once was, tracks like the May-driven psych-out “Parade”; the Lou Reed vibed “Reductive Silence”; the noisy lullaby “Best of Time”, and the closer, “Demonized” would all have the request lines blazing and kids melting into their dorm room floors.
Experience it all for yourself, you can stream the beautifully weird worlds of DYR FASER Impressions, here at the GTC.

My friend Eric Bøømhower's band DYR FASER have released a new album and it might just be their best one yet. A swirling dream of an album that takes you back to a time when artists made music for the sheer joy of making music. With snazzy distorted guitar hooks wrapping around short and euphoric songs, this is the band's most accessible work to date. Fans of alt and psych rock should definitely give the album a listen. Dyr Faser recently released their aptly-named album “Phantom Electric”, which offers a unique sonic experience.
Featuring tracks like “Unusual Power” and “Abandon”, this album will take listeners on a captivating auditory journey.
Notable for its blend of 70s rock with post-punk and indie vibes, the music creates an atmosphere of dreaminess, psychedelia and haunting vocals.
Whether you are a fan of these genres or not, “Phantom Electric” is worth exploring; you may be pleasantly surprised! Dyr Faser has truly excelled with this highly original project.
